Emily Blatchford, Clinical Psychologist

About Me

I am a compassionate, open-minded, and non-judgmental clinical psychologist dedicated to guiding individuals of all ages towards healing, growth and self-discovery. I work with a range of individuals facing challenges including anxiety and mood disorders, alcohol and substance use problems and the impacts of traumatic or adverse experiences.

I use a holistic, trauma-informed approach which recognises the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit and community. I draw on modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.

At the heart of my practice lies a commitment to helping people reconnect with their true selves and discover meaning and purpose in their lives. I understand that life's challenges can sometimes lead us astray, causing us to lose sight of who we are and where we're headed. Yet, I believe we all have an innate ability to heal and empower individuals to break free from limiting patterns and embrace their authentic selves.

I also have an interest in non-ordinary states of consciousness and their potential to improve mental health. I operate from a harm reduction framework and offer preparation and integration support for psychedelic experiences.
